Type Locality and Naming
Along the Muhkak, basin of the Shing River, Zarafshan-Gissar mountain region, C. Tajikistan. A.I. Lavrushevich, G.N. Menakova, 1966 (368, p.21). Stratotype in the section of Mt. Daurech. Fifth member in the Shing Fm.
Synonym: Muhkaksi Layers, Мухакские сл.
Lithology and Thickness
Thin-bedded or nodular black clayey dolomitized detrital limestones, sometimes with admixture of aleurolitic and sandy material. Thickness 32-45m.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
Along the bedding, they lie on the Daurich Beds Fm
Upper contact
They are conformably overlain by the Hokgaltak Beds (Khokgaltak Beds Fm).
Regional extent
Zarafshan-Gissar mountain region.
